Tom Murphy, CFA

Tom Murphy, CFA, is associate director, Fixed-Income Strategies, for Morningstar. He covers fixed-income strategies.

Before joining Morningstar in 2022, Murphy spent four years working at Franklin Templeton as an investment specialist covering fixed-income strategies. Prior to that, he worked on a wealth management team at Northwestern Mutual.

Murphy holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Creighton University. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
