In a YouTube streaming event honoring Juneteenth, Morningstar is bringing together Black financial professionals and researchers for a discussion about what's unique to Black investors and how they can build wealth at any age.

Taking part in "Closing the Gap: Building Black Dollars" are financial professionals Rachel J. Robasciotti and Brian Thompson as well as behavioral researcher Michael F. Thompson of Morningstar. The event will stream on YouTube on June 17 at 1 p.m. Central time and will be available for replay on Morningstar's YouTube channel.

As moderator, I'll be leading the talk on topics ranging from how investors from underrepresented communities, but more specifically the Black community, can overcome the unique financial challenges they face, how to build wealth, and how to invest in a way that aligns with your values and interests.

How we make money

Our investment management business generates asset-based fees, which are calculated as a percentage of assets under management.
