Before joining Morningstar in 2024, Maglares had nine years’ experience as an equity analyst and portfolio manager with Perkins Investment Management, a subsidiary of Janus Henderson, where he was a generalist but focused primarily on global industrial and consumer stocks. Additionally, he spent three years as an event-driven equity analyst at RoundKeep Capital Advisors. Before business school, he worked for three years as a private equity associate with Frontenac Company and began his career as a mergers and acquisitions analyst in the industrials group at Lazard.
Maglares holds a bachelor’s degree in ethics, politics, and economics from Yale University and an MBA (high honors) from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
