The investment seeks total return, primarily through current income, while giving special consideration to certain environmental criteria. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its assets in bonds. For these purposes, bonds include fixed-income securities of all types. Generally, the fund's advisor intends to invest in bonds issued by both domestic and foreign issuers; including foreign issuers from emerging market countries. While the fund's investments will generally be denominated in U.S. dollars, the fund may also invest in non-dollar denominated instruments.
