Manager Replacement on DWS Core Equity; Ratings Unchanged

null Drew Carter

Drew Carter

Analyst Note

DWS named Hiten Shah comanager on DWS Core Equity on May 15, 2024. He replaces Arno Puskar, who retired from the firm. Puskar’s portfolio construction duties were assumed by Shah, lead manager Pankaj Bhatnagar, and analyst Izzy Kuo, who had been supporting Puskar in the squad’s team-based approach. Shah handles portfolio construction for a sibling strategy, DWS ESG Core, where he’s been a manager since February 2020. He’s been with the team since 2017 and has about two decades of industry experience. The firm is searching for a new supporting member of the investment team. Because of the team-based approach and the fact that the remaining members are sufficiently experienced, Puskar’s retirement doesn’t change the strategy’s Average People rating, nor its Morningstar Medalist Ratings.
