Summary

Hartford Schroders International Multi-Cap Value has new leaders, but their familiarity with this systematic value-oriented process—which has worked well with ex US stocks—bodes well for investors. A reorganized team leads the strategy. In April 2022, longtime manager and QEP group founder Justin Abercrombie stepped down. Now Lukas Kamblevicius and former head of research Stephen Langford co-lead this strategy and other related products. Kamblevicius is ultimately responsible for the group’s core and quality strategies, while Langford oversees the value range. They’re part of a six-person steering group for QEP. The broader team has also seen higher-than-ideal turnover. While the group's headcount has remained relatively stable and recent senior hires have strengthened the unit, there were multiple changes among its ranks, with about a third of the researchers joining the group in 2022 or later.
