Strategy

The investment seeks capital appreciation; income is a secondary consideration. Under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in securities of issuers outside the United States. The equity securities in which the fund invests are primarily common stock. To a lesser extent, the fund also invests in securities involving merger arbitrage and the debt and equity of stressed or distressed companies.
