American Century announced that Guan Wang stepped down as comanager on Aug. 18, 2022, from American Century Equity Growth, American Century Small Company, and American Century Global Gold. She will stay with the company through Sept. 2, and the firm plans to replace her. After joining the firm in 2015, she became a comanager on all three strategies in August 2020. In addition to management duties, her research supported the quantitative equity team. The rest of the experienced five-person team remains, and team leader Arun Daniel is tweaking the process to supplement the funds' quantitative approach with fundamental research and stock-picking performed by him and fundamental analyst Seth Miller, who joined in July. Therefore, Wang's departure does not affect the strategy's Average People rating and Morningstar Analyst Rating of Neutral.
