ON Semiconductor's third-quarter results were positive and above guidance midpoints. Sales rose 11% year on year to $1.7 billion, and non-GAAP gross margin rose 320 basis points to 41.2%. Guidance implies further growth. Onsemi also announced the acquisition of Ferric for $600 million.
