Find Your Next Investment Faster with New Screener and Search Enhancements

Since 1984, Morningstar has helped investors find their next best investment. And now we’ve made it easier than ever to turn ideas into high-conviction decisions. With new enhancements to Morningstar Investor’s screeners and search, subscribers can surface relevant opportunities faster and evaluate them with greater confidence.

1. Screen for securities that meet your specific criteria

Screen across Morningstar’s full catalog of data

You can now screen using Morningstar Investor’s entire range of data points, making it easier to zero in on investments that meet your exact criteria. Whether you’re focused on performance, risk, valuation, or ratings, the expanded data point coverage helps you refine your list with precision.

Find funds without friction

Instead of deciding upfront whether you’re looking for a mutual fund or an ETF, you can now screen for all funds that meet your criteria in one step. This removes friction from the research process and allows you to more easily compare securities with similar attributes across fund types, so you can evaluate opportunities on their merits, not their structure.

Globalize your exposure opportunities

Looking beyond US markets? You can now uncover investments from global markets and countries of origin directly within Screener, allowing you to diversify your investments without needing separate tools or workflows.

Get more context

You can now see when data was last updated, providing essential context about a security’s historical ratings and relevance. Greater transparency supports more informed decisions.

2. Uncover relevant insights faster with an improved sitewide search experience

Surface more relevant global results

Search now returns a broader and more relevant set of investments, including global securities listed across multiple exchanges. This makes it easier to find the exact security you’re looking for—or discover comparable alternatives you may not have considered.

Access reports straight from your results view

Move directly from discovery to deeper evaluation in one click. You can now immediately identify when a company or fund has an associated Morningstar company or analyst report right in your search results.

Go beyond securities

Search isn’t limited to securities’ quote pages anymore. It’s now easier to find relevant analyst reports, best investment lists, articles, videos, and podcasts—so you can strengthen your thesis and explore multiple perspectives before making a decision.

Refine results with greater control

Additional filtering options allow you to narrow search results by format, exchange country, security type, and more. Whether you’re looking for a specific type of content or a particular market exposure, these refinements help you get where you want to go.

Pick up where you left off

Your most recent searches are now visible, making it easier to revisit ideas and continue your research without starting over.

We designed these enhancements to help you spend less time navigating and more time evaluating, allowing you to invest with greater discipline and conviction.

Explore the new Screener and Search features today, and let us know what you think. Happy investing!
