Australian hydrocarbon producer Woodside reported a 12% increase in third-quarter 2026 production to 46 million barrels of oil equivalent, or mmboe. Average pricing for its product fell 7% to USD 76.85 per barrel of oil equivalent, while revenue rose 2% to USD 4.3 billion.
Woodside is a beneficiary of the continued increase in demand for energy. Behind coal, gas has been the fastest-growing primary energy segment globally. Woodside is favorably located on Asia's doorstep.
The global economy is cooling off, and demand for energy will follow suit, particularly if Chinese growth rates taper.
