Company Profile
Founded in 1947, Metro is a leading Canadian food and pharmacy retailer operating primarily in Quebec and Ontario. Generating over CAD 22 billion in fiscal 2025 sales, the firm manages a network of more than 1,000 food stores (about 78% of sales) under banners including Metro and Super C and nearly 650 drug stores, primarily Jean Coutu. Through its core business, the firm sells a broad assortment of groceries, prescription and healthcare services, as well as health and beauty products.
