Sarah Hansen

Sarah Hansen is a senior reporter for Morningstar.com. She covers markets and the economy, with a focus on helping investors cut through the noise. Before joining Morningstar in 2023, Hansen was a senior writer for Money Magazine, covering investing and personal finance. She has also written for Forbes and Investopedia.

Hansen holds a bachelor’s degree in English and art history from Northwestern University. She also holds a master’s degree in business and economic journalism from New York University's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, for which she completed coursework at the Stern School of Business.
