More About Samuel Meakin

Samuel Meakin, CFA, is an associate director of manager research for Morningstar UK Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Morningstar, Inc. He covers UK, European, and specialist sector equity funds.

Before joining Morningstar in 2013, Meakin worked for Preqin, a private equity and hedge fund data company, where he managed the company’s private equity fund performance data and research output.

Meakin holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, with honours, from the University of Warwick. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.

How we make money

Our investment management business generates asset-based fees, which are calculated as a percentage of assets under management. We also sell both admissions and sponsorship packages for our investment conferences and advertising on our websites and newsletters.

How we approach editorial content
