Joachim Kotze, CFA

Joachim Paul Kotze, CFA, is an equity analyst for Morningstar.* He covers the European aerospace and defense sector.

Before joining Morningstar in 2019, Kotze was employed at Rootstock Investment Management in Malta, where he was a global equities analyst performing quantitative and fundamental research and helped to formulate the firm's investment process. Previously, he was at Sanlam Investment Management in South Africa for five years as a buy-side analyst.

Kotze holds a bachelor's degree in commerce, financial management from the University of South Africa. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
