More About Andrew Lane

Andrew Lane is a director of equity research, index strategies, at Morningstar. He focuses on design and marketing efforts for indexes that leverage data points produced by Morningstar equity analysts. Before this role, Lane was a strategist covering the industrial metals space and also the director of the basic-materials sector team.

Before joining Morningstar in 2013, Lane earned a Master of Business Administration, with a specialization in applied security analysis, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before business school, he spent three years at Harris Associates LP, working in the trading operations group.

Lane also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and history from Boston College.
