A complaint has been filed against Ensign and certain executives alleging that Ensigns business model depends on the systematic and widespread neglect of elderly people who live in its facilities, including those with needs for high levels of care, that Ensign uses self-reporting measures as a way to cover up its systematic neglect of patients, defrauds Medicaid and Medicare, and has engaged in an illegal scheme, including the falsification of records.
According to the complaint, the truth began to emerge on June 8, 2026, when Hunterbrook Media published a report entitled Ensign: The Nursing Home Empire Built on Fatal Neglect. The report alleges that Ensign's business model relies on delivering inadequate care to patients while gaming data on quality, according to Hunterbrook's five-month investigation. The report further alleges former employees in different states described systematic misrepresentations.
Following this news, the price of Ensign stock fell $13.88 per share, or 8.15%, to close at $156.42 per share on June 8, 2026.
This illustrious firm, founded in 1888, is steadfast in their pursuit of justice for investors who have suffered financial harm due to these misrepresented statements. The law firm brings to the fore over 125 years of legal expertise in securities litigation and has a proven record of protecting the rights of investors.
We encourage all investors who have been affected or have information that will assist in our investigation, to contact Wolf Haldenstein Adler Freeman & Herz LLP.
