PITTSBURGH, Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- "We wanted to create an irrigation product that would offer farmers a more efficient means of watering fields without interfering with heavy machinery," said one of two inventors, from Hazelton, Idaho, "so we invented the Agriculture Sprinkler. Our design would save a considerable amount of time and manual effort on the farm compared with irrigating using the hand line method."

The patent-pending, retractable sprinkler provides a new method of irrigation for crops grown in dry agricultural areas. Current methods involve above-ground systems that must be moved or taken apart in order to work the ground or harvest crops. This retractable sprinkler is installed below ground, coming above the surface to irrigate. This saves considerable hand labor, and it is fully programmable, allowing for precise watering with very little waste. This system is ideal for agriculture applications or motocross tracks. Other industrial applications may apply as well. Additionally, a working prototype is available.
The original design was submitted to the National sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
