MILWAUKEE, Oct. 7, 2026
MILWAUKEE, Oct. 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hammes organization announced today that Patrick Hammes has been named Chief Executive Officer, marking the next step in the firm's long-term leadership succession planning. Jon Hammes, who has served as Chairman and CEO, will continue as Chairman of Hammes.

The CEO change reflects a planned leadership transition that was designed to ensure long-term continuity, stability and growth. As CEO, Patrick will continue to provide strategic and operational oversight of the firm's complementary suite of services spanning real estate consulting, development, investment, and management, all with a focus on healthcare.
The leadership structure of the firm's affiliated businesses—Hammes Healthcare, Hammes Realty Services, and Hammes Partners—remains unchanged, ensuring seamless service for clients, investors, tenants and partners.
Patrick joined the company in 2012 to support the preparation and launch of the firm's institutional investment platform, Hammes Partners, for which he and Jon both serve as managing principals and investment committee members. Prior to joining Hammes, Patrick was a member of the Business Services and Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Robert W. Baird & Co. Before Baird, he was an attorney at a large law firm in Dallas, Texas, and previously worked in the General Counsel's office of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, DC.
"Formalizing Patrick's role as CEO underscores the confidence we have in his leadership and his strategic acumen," said Jon Hammes. "This transition is a natural evolution that supports our growth, upholds our fiduciary commitment to investors, and maintains continuity for our clients, tenants and partners."
"This transition reflects the strength of the platform my father established 35 years ago," said Patrick Hammes. "While my title has evolved, our strategy remains the same, leveraging our fully integrated capabilities to deliver long-term value for our healthcare clients and institutional partners. With strong leadership teams in place across each of our businesses, we are well-positioned to build on our momentum and remain focused on what we do best."
