Levi Strauss names Burberry exec Gianluca Flore its chief commercial officer
By Ben Glickman
Levi Strauss (LEVI) on Thursday named Burberry executive Gianluca Flore chief commercial officer as the company looks to round out its reshuffled leadership team.
The San Francisco-based jeans maker said Flore would report to Chief Executive Michelle Gass and oversee the company's commercial operations across stores, e-commerce and wholesale. His appointment is effective July 29.
Flore, 53, was appointed chief commercial officer of Burberry (UK:BRBY) in 2021, and earlier served as president for the Americas and global retail excellence at the company. He has also held positions at Kering, and was CEO of Brioni.
Levi's said in a regulatory filing that Flore would receive a base salary of $1 million per year, and will have an initial target bonus of 100% of his salary.
Flore is the latest executive appointment made by Gass. In January, she added Levi's chief marketing officer and chief merchandising officer to the executive leadership team and said the company was looking to hire a new president and CCO.
Gass was joined Levi's in January 2023 as president, and was named CEO in December. She joined the company from Kohl's.
