Mark Zuckerberg says he gave the Apple Vision Pro a test and says Meta Quest 3 is better

By Steve Goldstein

Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg is taking aim at another Magnificent Seven company - though this time, it's in the consumer-products arena rather than an actual cage fight.

In an Instagram post, he said Meta's Quest 3 is not just better value but a better product than the Vision Pro headset from Apple.

Zuckerberg highlighted his product's weight - being lighter allows a user to wear it for longer - as he also highlighted what he said was the Quest's more immersive content library.

He did allow that the Vision Pro does have better resolution, and while he said Quest's option of physical hand controllers for input is better, he suggested the eye tracking in Vision Pro will come to the Quest in a future model.

Of course, there's a huge difference in price - $3,499 for the Vision Pro, versus $499 for the Meta Quest 3.

In the interest of fairness, here's a review that favors the Vision Pro.

This year, Meta (META) has been the winner on Wall Street, with its stock rising 30% versus a 4% decline for Apple (AAPL).

Apple has a market cap of about $2.9 trillion, versus Meta at $1.2 trillion.
