Agilysys' stock jumps on revenue, earnings beat
Agilysys Inc.'s (AGYS) stock climbed 2% in extended trading Monday after the maker of hospitality software reported quarterly results that topped analyst revenue and earnings estimates. Agilysys reported fiscal second-quarter net earnings of $4.55 million, or 16 cents a share, compared with net earnings of $3.6 million, or 13 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter. Adjusted earnings were 25 cents a share. Revenue was $58.6 million, compared with $47.7 million a year ago. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had expected on average net earnings of 19 cents a share on revenue of $56.8 million. Shares of Agilysys have slipped 19% this year, while the broader S&P 500 index has increased 10%.
