Adnoc to Proceed With Ruwais Diyab Gas Development

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company said it will progress the Ruwais Diyab gas development as the state-owned oil company continues to ramp up production.

Adnoc reached a final investment decision for the project, saying it would deliver 345 million standard cubic feet a day of gas from 2029 for a 25-year period. The gas will be used domestically and exported as liquefied natural gas.

The United Arab Emirates is growing production in a bid to establish itself more prominently as an energy superpower after it departed the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries this year.

In July, Adnoc said it would proceed with the $6.2 billion development of the Umm Shaif Gas Cap while in August, Adnoc Gas said it would invest over $8 billion in the Rich Gas Development project.
