Nvidia Begins Selling AI-Optimized Personal Computers
By Elias Schisgall
Nvidia began selling its new line of personal computers designed for on-device artificial-intelligence, with prices beginning at $2,599.
The PC laptops are made using Nvidia's RTX Spark chip and are manufactured by ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI. The chip and Nvidia's plans to begin selling PCs were first announced in May.
The laptops are specifically designed to support running AI agents, which Nvidia has framed as the next era of AI usage. Other PC makers are also designing their laptops to optimize for AI workloads, which they can then sell at premium prices to offset the rising costs of computer components like memory.
"Together with Microsoft and our PC industry partners, we're bringing creators, developers and gamers a new generation of Windows PC, built for the work they do today and the personal AI agents they'll work with next," Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang said.
The company is ultimately planning to release around 30 laptop models and 10 desktop models using the RTX Spark chips, The Wall Street Journal has reported.
The laptops support a range of Nvidia platforms, as well as integrations with tools including GitHub Copilot, Perplexity, and OpenClaw.
