Shares of banks and other financial institutions rose as volatility in Treasury markets eased.

Under an order from Japan's Financial Services Agency, financial services firm Prudential Financial's life insurance unit cannot solicit new business until Jan. 31, 2027 due to alleged misconduct by more than 100 of the firm's employees.

Qatar National Bank is looking to finance investment in digital infrastructure, real estate and businesses expanding across its markets as the nation's largest bank reported quarterly earnings growth despite disruptions from the Iran war.
