Kering's Saint Laurent Parts Ways With Longtime Creative Chief Vaccarello
By Andrea Figueras
Kering said Belgian fashion designer Anthony Vaccarello is leaving Saint Laurent after a decade at the creative helm of the brand, as the French luxury group works to reignite momentum across its brands.
"Vaccarello has played a key role in Saint Laurent's development, helping to strengthen its identity and influence across the worlds of fashion and culture," the company said Friday.
The company has reshuffled the management and creative teams at some of its brands, including its flagship label Gucci, in an effort to breathe new life into the business at a time when the luxury sector contends with lower demand for high-end goods. Alexander McQueen and Bottega Veneta recently appointed new executives to lead the brands.
The company said it would announce Vaccarello's replacement soon.
