Haemonetics Shares Gain as CSL Targets Rollout of Company's Devices by End of 2027
By Kelly Cloonan
Shares of Haemonetics rose after CSL Plasma said it expects to complete the rollout of the company's devices and disposables under their supply agreement by the end of 2027.
The stock gained 16% to $118 in premarket trading Thursday. At Wednesday's market close, shares were up 27% year to date.
Under the supply agreement, which the companies entered in August, CSL can use Haemonetics' NexSys PCS devices and purchase related disposables in the U.S. Haemonetics said at the time the supply agreement was non-exclusive and did not contain minimum purchase commitments.
In a Thursday filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Haemonetics said CSL expects the transition to its devices and disposables will occur at all of CSL's current U.S. plasma collection centers.
The scope and timing of the rollout remain subject to change, Haemonetics said, noting it is not updating its previously issued fiscal 2027 guidance at this time.
