Financials Up as Deal Activity Continues — Financials Roundup

Shares of banks and other financial institutions ticked up as deal activity continued, boding well for investment-banking profits.

Shares of private-credit managers such as Blackstone and Blue Owl recouped some of their recent losses, but remained deep in the red for the year to date.

Wall Street banks are set to book about $90 billion in annual profit, and pay out a record total of bonuses, according to new estimates released by New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli.
