Boeing Gets $14.7 Billion Contract Action From Lockheed Martin to Triple PAC-3 MSE Seeker Production

By Elias Schisgall

Boeing received a contract from Lockheed Martin worth about $14.7 billion to ramp up the production of PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement seekers.

Boeing said the undefinitized contract action will enable it to triple the production of the PAC-3 MSE seekers under its existing seven-year framework agreement with the Defense Department.

The company said it has invested in the factory that produces the seekers and strengthened its supplier relationships. Production ramp-up and associated hiring began earlier this year, Boeing said.

"Early investment and a relentless focus on quality and execution have positioned us to now deliver seekers at unprecedented levels in the near-term, and we're committed to building on that momentum," Boeing Defense, Space & Security Chief Executive Steve Parker said.
