Shares in the communication services sector rose, lifted by a broad stock rally.
Paramount Chief Executive David Ellison said he would rename his combined company Skydance after acquiring Warner Bros. Discovery. "Paramount and Warner Bros. shaped over a century of culture," Ellison said Friday on social media. "By combining them, we aren't rewriting history-we're equipping these iconic studios with a more powerful engine.
Satellogic reported the successful satellite launch of its first Merlin.01, two NewSat Mark VIs, and one NewSat Mark V. The company said the satellites were delivered into sun-synchronous low-Earth orbit from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, onboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 on Thursday. They have made contact with Satellogic's ground station network with good health reports for all subsystems, Satellogic said.
Cable One said it is in advanced discussions with GTCR, certain existing lenders and a consortium of private lending institutions regarding financing transactions to address certain forthcoming capital needs. Cable One said no definitive agreements have been entered into thus far, and that there can be no guarantee that any transaction will materialize.
