Diageo Names WPP Finance Chief Joanne Wilson as Next CFO
By Aimee Look
Diageo named WPP finance chief Joanne Wilson as its next chief financial officer, succeeding Nik Jhangiani.
The spirits giant said Wilson would join as CFO and assume roles on the board and executive committee at some point in 2027. Wilson currently is CFO at advertising group WPP, and previously held financial and commercial roles at drinks company Britvic.
WPP said Wednesday that it had begun a formal search process to replace Wilson, and that she would remain in her role while her successor is appointed.
Jhangiani, who joined Diageo from Coca-Cola Europacific Partners in 2024, was interim CEO last year. "Nik and I have agreed that, now we have shared our new strategy, this is the right time for this change," Diageo's CEO Dave Lewis said.
