KKR to Buy Integer Holdings for $4.3 Billion

By Colin Kellaher

Investment firm KKR has struck a deal to acquire medical-device outsourcing company Integer Holdings for about $4.3 billion in cash.

KKR will pay $127 a share for Integer, the companies said Monday, a 4.8% premium to Friday's closing price of $121.21 for the Plano, Texas, company and some 52% above Integer's closing price of $83.67 on April 29, before the company said it was considering a sale.

Shares of Integer were recently up 2.6% at $124.39 in premarket trading.

The Wall Street Journal last week reported that New York-based KKR was closing in on a deal to take Integer private.

The deal, which carries an enterprise value of roughly $5.7 billion, is slated to close by the end of the year.
