Leonardo DRS Wins Multiple Contracts for Penatgon's SHIELD Missile Defense Program

  Leonardo DRS received multiple contracts under the Defense Department's Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract. 



  The defense technology company said Tuesday that it was awarded multiple contracts under the Missile Defense Agency project, which has a total ceiling of $151 billion. The company did not specify the size of its contracts, but said they encompass a broad range of work areas. 



  It said the awards position the company to compete for future task orders. 



  "We stand ready today to answer the call with our next-generation air and missile defense capabilities and deliver proven performance at speed to help the Missile Defense Agency and the warfighter outpace rapidly evolving threats," Chief Executive Officer John Baylouny said.
