Santander CRO Mahesh Aditya to Lead U.K. Unit
By Elena Vardon
Spain's Santander has named its chief risk officer Mahesh Aditya as the chief executive of its U.K. arm to oversee its combination with TSB in the country.
Aditya has served as the chief risk officer of the Spanish bank since 2023 after spending six years in its U.S. division. He will take on the role on March 1, Santander UK said on Friday.
Santander last year agreed to buy TSB, the U.K. subsidiary of peer Sabadell, for an initial 2.65 billion pounds ($3.66 billion) in cash. In October, it announced that Mike Regnier would step down from the CEO role he had held since 2022 by the end of the first quarter of this year.
