Novartis to Build Radioligand Therapy Facility in Florida

By Mauro Orru

Novartis said it would build a radioligand-therapy manufacturing facility in Florida, part of plans to expand in the U.S.

The Swiss pharmaceutical company didn't disclose how much the new 35,000-square-foot facility in Winter Park would cost, but said it would be part of a $23 billion investment program that Novartis unveiled in April to expand its U.S.-based manufacturing, research and development.

The company said the project, expected to come online by 2029, would be the fourth of five existing or planned radioligand-therapy facilities in the country. Novartis is expanding radioligand-therapy facilities in Indiana and New Jersey after recently completing a new facility in California. The company also said it plans a fifth location in the U.S.
