Cytokinetics Gets FDA Approval for Heart Disease Drug Myqorzo

Cytokinetics' heart-disease drug Myqorzo was approved by the Food and Drug Administration.

The San Francisco biopharmaceutical company said Friday that Myqorzo had been approved in 5, 10, 15 and 20 milligram tablets to treat adults with symptomatic obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

The drug is designed to improve functional capacity and symptoms, including cardiac contractility and left ventricular outflow tract obstruction, the company said.

Myqorzo is expected to become available in the U.S. in the second half of January 2026.

The approval is based on positive results from a Phase 3 trial, which demonstrated efficacy, safety and clinically meaningful benefits across symptoms.
