Big Yellow Says It Will Terminate Takeover Talks With Blackstone

By Mauro Orru

Big Yellow Group said it would put an end to discussions with Blackstone over a possible offer for the company.

The U.K. self-storage company said it made the decision after Blackstone Europe provided an update to its board over a possible offer and the valuation at which it could make a proposal.

"The board considered this in the context of Big Yellow's strong performance, strategy and business model," the company said. "It has concluded that there is no basis for continuing discussions with Blackstone."
