By Colin Kellaher

Stryker is elevating 27-year veteran Spencer Stiles to the number-two executive post at the medical-technologies company.

Stryker on Thursday said Stiles, who has served as group president of orthopaedics and spine since 2019, will become president and chief operating officer of the Portage, Mich., company on Jan. 1, leading its global businesses, strategy, and mergers and acquisitions.

Stryker said Dylan Crotty, another 27-year company veteran who currently serves as president of instruments, will succeed Stiles as group president of orthopaedics.
