GSK Subsidiary Files Lawsuit Against AnaptysBio
By Elena Vardon
Drugmaker GSK said it started litigation against AnaptysBio for what it called a material breach of an agreement regarding one of its cancer treatments.
GSK said its Tesaro subsidiary initiated the action, alleging that AnaptysBio breached a license agreement for the dostarlimab oncology treatment, commercialized as Jemperli.
According to GSK, AnaptysBio itself has alleged that Tesaro hadn't fulfilled some of the requirements of the agreement and that it intended to revoke it. GSK and Tesaro view these allegations are without merit, GSK said.
GSK said the alleged breach entitles Tesaro to terminate the current license agreement, get a perpetual and irrevocable license to dostarlimab, and cut the royalties and milestone payments to AnaptysBio by 50%.
AnaptysBio wasn't immediately available for comment.
