Figure Technology Shares Rise After Higher 3Q Earnings, Revenue

Figure Technology Solutions shares were up 24%, at $42.76, on Friday after the company reported higher third-quarter revenue and earnings.
The finance company said Thursday it had quarterly earnings of $89.8 million, or 34 cents a share, compared with $27.4 million, or 9 cents a share, in the same quarter last year. Analysts polled by FactSet were looking for earnings of $35.3 million, or 15 cents a share.
Revenue for the quarter was $156.4 million, compared with last year's $101 million and the $119.4 million analysts were expecting.
Figure Technology, which completed its initial public offering in September, said volume for its consumer loan marketplace was $2.5 billion during the quarter, a 70% increase from the prior year. This included figure connect volume of $1.1 billion, up from $767 million in the second quarter.
Volume from new product categories exceeded $80 million in the third quarter, including crypto-backed loans, small and medium business loans, and debt service coverage ratio loans.
