Amazon Aims to Hire 250,000 Workers Ahead of Holiday Rush

By Connor Hart

Amazon.com said it is hiring 250,000 workers for the upcoming holiday season, matching its hiring target from last year.

The positions include full-time, part-time, and seasonal roles, the e-commerce giant said Monday. Full- and part-time employees earn an average of $23 an hour with benefits, while seasonal employees earn an average of $19 an hour, it said.

New roles will be posted weekly from October through December, with a particular focus on expanding opportunities in rural communities, the company said.

Amazon noted that seasonal positions are popular for their flexibility and often serve as a pathway to full-time employment.
