Antalpha Shares Rise on $43 Million Stake in Prestige Wealth, Plan for Gold-Backed Treasury
By Connor Hart
Shares of Antalpha Platform climbed after the company said it has invested about $43 million to acquire a controlling stake in Prestige Wealth.
The stock opened Friday's trading session 5.3% higher, at $13.07. Shares had their public debut in May, priced at $12.80 apiece.
Following the transaction, Prestige Wealth will be renamed Aurelion. It is expected to begin trading under the ticker AURE on Monday.
Antalpha said its investment is part of $150 million in financing for Aurelion, including a $100 million private placement and a $50 million senior debt facility. Investors including TG Commodities and Kiara Capital also participated in the private placement.
After the deal, Antalpha said it will hold roughly 32.4% of Aurelion's shares, or 73.1% of the voting rights, giving it effective control of the company.
Aurelion will become the first Nasdaq-listed company with a treasury fully in Tether Gold, a tokenized asset backed by physical gold stored in Switzerland, Antalpha said. The move aims to hedge against inflation, fiat currency devaluation and crypto volatility, while expanding access to tokenized gold for institutional investors, the company added.
