Communications-services companies ticked down as traders hedged their bets on the outlook for risk.

A consortium of U.S. investors, including Oracle's Larry Ellison, Michael Dell and Rupert Murdoch, head of News Corp., are set to buy the American operations of Chinese social-media app TikTok in a deal that values the company at $14 billion, according to President Trump.

Live Nation's Ticketmaster offered to change how it advertises concert tickets on its website after its handling of Oasis's reunion tour sale triggered an investigation from the U.K.'s competition watchdog.
