Jaguar Land Rover Working to Pay Suppliers After Hack, Bloomberg Says, Citing Sources

--Jaguar Land Rover is trying to clear a backlog of payments owed to suppliers after a cyberattack halted production at the carmaker's factories, Bloomberg says, citing people familiar with the matter.

--The company aims to ensure that suppliers have liquidity and can retain workers, enabling them to quickly ramp production back up when JLR resumes output, the people said, according to Bloomberg.

--JLR has paid roughly 300 million pounds ($405.7 million) to partners and aims to clear the backlog by the end of the month, Bloomberg said, citing one of the people.

--"Our focus remains on supporting our customers, suppliers, colleagues, and our retailers who remain open. We fully recognize this is a difficult time for all connected with JLR and we thank everyone for their continued support and patience," a JLR spokesperson said to Bloomberg.
