By Katherine Hamilton
Bank of Montreal appointed Rahul Nalgirkar as chief financial officer.
Nalgirkar will succeed Tayfun Tuzun, who joined in 2020 and plans to retire in early 2026, the bank said Wednesday. Tuzun plans to continue to serve on the board of BMO's U.S. subsidiary BMO Financial Corp.
Nalgirkar joined the company in 2022 as chief financial officer of BMO U.S. and BMO's commercial banking business in Canada and the U.S. Prior to that, he worked as line of business group chief financial officer at Fifth Third Bank.
Nalgirkar will officially step into the role on Jan. 1.
