Vodafone, Liberty Global joint venture VodafoneZiggo said that industry veteran Stephen van Rooyen will replace Jeroen Hoencamp as chief executive officer from September.
The companies said Tuesday that Rooyen was previously chief executive officer of Sky UK & Ireland and chief commercial officer for the Sky Group.
Rooyen has more than 17 years of experience in telecoms and media, including at Sky in the U.K. and in several other countries in Europe, they said.
VodafoneZiggo's current Chief Financial Officer Ritchy Drost will serve as interim chief executive officer until Rooyen joins in September.
Rooyen will be based in The Netherlands, at the company's Utrecht headquarters.
