Communication Shares Climb — Communications Services Roundup
Communications services companies rose as big cap names continue to drive the sector higher.
Bank of Nova Scotia has chosen Google Cloud to support its expanding digital operations, paving the way for the bank's use of generative AI and other new technologies. Alphabet shares gained 1.4%.
Paramount Global shares fell after The Wall Street Journal reported that a sale could work out very differently for controlling shareholder Shari Redstone and the rest of the entertainment giant's investors. Redstone would get cash while investors with nonvoting shares would get stock in the combined company and wind up with a diluted shareholding.
