Trending: FedEx Posts Better-Than-Expected Q3 Earnings

For its fiscal third quarter, FedEx reported adjusted earnings of $3.86 a share on sales of $21.7 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet expected adjusted earnings per share of $3.43 on sales of $21.97 billion. The company said it benefited from savings due to restructuring efforts including workforce reductions and facility closures.
