By Colin Kellaher
United Parcel Service's board has bumped up the package-delivery giant's quarterly dividend by 0.6%, to $1.63 from $1.62.
The new quarterly payout, equal to $6.52 a year, represents an annual yield of about 4.13% based on Monday's closing price of $158.02, up from 4.1%.
The Atlanta company on Tuesday said the increased dividend is payable March 8 to shareholders of record Feb. 10.
UPS, which last year raised its payout by 6.6%, said it expects to shell out about $5.4 billion in dividends this year.
