Trending: Unilever Faces U.K. Scrutiny Over 'Green' Claims on Household Products
1003 GMT - Unilever is the most mentioned company across news items over the past hour, according to Factiva data. The U.K. Competition and Markets Authority said on Tuesday that it will investigate environmental claims made by Unilever regarding some of its household products as part of a wider investigation into so-called "greenwashing." The regulator said that it will investigate whether the Anglo-Dutch retailer--which owns consumer brands such as Ben & Jerry's ice cream and Dove soap--overstates how "green" certain products are. Unilever said it will cooperate with the investigation. Dow Jones & Co. owns Factiva. (michael.susin@wsj.com)
